Maeve Lane Cinema Club: Devil Wears Prada 2 | Atlanta

On May 9th I hosted the very first Maeve Lane Cinema Club event, and it was everything I hoped it would be and more. What started as an idea to bring together needlepoint, community, and a love of iconic movies became a reality as guests gathered for an exclusive screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2. Stitchers of all experience levels joined us for an evening filled with creativity, conversation, shopping, and of course, plenty of needlepoint. Guests arrived before the movie to browse Maeve Lane Design Canvases, meet fellow stitchers, and settle into their seats with their event needlepoint kits. Each attendee received a themed needlepoint kit featuring a Devil Wears Prada 2 themed canvas, coordinating needle minder, project bag, threads, scissors, needle, and beginner friendly instructions.

As the movie began, the theater quickly transformed into a room full of stitching, laughter, and shared excitement. Whether attendees came with friends or arrived solo, it was incredible to watch connections form over a shared love of needlepoint and movies. One of the most rewarding parts of the evening was seeing both experienced stitchers and complete beginners enjoying the hobby together. Creating a welcoming space where anyone can pick up a needle and join in has always been the vision behind Maeve Lane Designs, and seeing that come to life during our very first event was incredibly special.
